Congratulations!  You've landed a job offer.  Do you think you're worth more than
they've offered?  Knowing geographic market trends, what your skills are worth, and the employer's salary range provides a great beginning point for a successful negotiation process.  In most cases, salary ranges are set by an employer's human resource compensation department, so the negotiation must begin with that range in mind.
